Between 1979-1984 she studied Painting at Cracow Academy of Fine Arts. Diploma work in Jerzy Nowosielski’s studio. Areas of interest: photography, objects, installation, public space art. Author of a characteristic ‘written’ painting. She repainted all her canvas from the 80s created in the expressive style of ‘wild figuration’. She decided to abandon personal motifs and individual message and concentrate on observing objects and phenomena of everyday reality. In the 90s she produced small size pictures using fragments of clothes (skirts, trousers, slippers) and cosmetics, complete with fictional advertising slogans. Between 1996 and 1997 a series of oil paintings were brought into being, depicting clothes with texts in the background. Since 1997 she has been painting canvas depicting separate items of clothing or fragments of newspaper headlines on pastel backgrounds. Between 1997 – 1998 she created a series of large-format photographs showing separate black and white items of clothing on monochromatic color backgrounds of foil and leatherette. Since 1998 she has produced large-format prints with black letters on a fleshy pink background. In 1998 one of them entitled ‘Persuasion Domestication Instruction’ was exhibited on billboards in Poznan and other cities as a part of ‘AMS Outdoor Gallery’. In galleries she exhibits her texts on printouts on walls and columns, often multiplying them to create a wallpaper effect. Texts also appear on objects like pencils, tapes, boxes. She continues to photograph men’s and women’s clothing on neutral backgrounds.
